We have re-opened our saloon

We have implemented all the required government guidelines regarding salon safety measures to ensure that you can feel totally relaxed knowing that your visit to our saloon is entirely safe.

The UK is currently experiencing a public health emergency as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is critical that employers, employees, the self-employed and clients take steps to keep everyone safe.

The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

  • A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

To protect others, do not go to places like a SALON if you have any of these symptoms. Stay at home (self-isolate) and get a test.

At  BEAUTY CODE SALON we confirm we have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID- 19

  • We have carried out a COVID – 19 Risk Assessment and shared the results with people who work here.
  • We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance.
  • We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace.
  • Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk.

Our commitment to you

To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of both our guests and team members it has been necessary to put a number of restrictions and safety measures in place for our hair and beauty services. This page will be updated as and when new information becomes available from the government.

What we will do to protect you:

A face mask to be worn at all times and disposed of safely once you leave our premises.

Our team members will wear appropriate PPE. In addition to a face mask, team members will also wear a disposable apron for every guest. A face visor and gloves will also be used.

Protective screens will be installed at reception and in between workstations (if needed).

A £3.00 safety levy will be charged to your service. This is to help the salon cover the cost of essential PPE for guests and team members.

Limited number of guests in the salon. To maintain social distancing in the salon we are limiting the number of guests in the salon at the same time.

There will be no waiting area in the salon. Please take care when entering the salon as there will be no waiting area, and we ask that you observe social distancing rules.

Guests will not be allowed to be accompanied. Except for parents or carers.

We will provide every guest with sanitiser. We will ask you to use hand sanitiser before starting your service

Please avoid touching our display stands. Please ask a team member to assist you with purchasing hair products.

We may need to limit some of our services. This may include dry cuts, beard trims and some beauty services (subject to government guidelines).

We will not be able to provide refreshments at this time. We kindly ask that you refrain from eating or drinking in the salon.

Use contactless payment where possible. Wherever possible we ask that you pay by credit card or use contactless payment.

We will not be able to provide magazines at this time. If you choose to bring your own, these must always remain on your person at all times.

We respectfully ask that our guests comply with this guidance. To avoid our team members having to refuse service, we also ask that you do not visit the salon if you have a cough or other cold symptoms.

In addition, services for accompanied children will be provided during specific times only!

We hope you understand the need for additional sanitation and safety measures. Should you have any further questions about your specific salon, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Call ahead to reserve your time slot.

We’ve updated our walk-in policy. Please note that as there will be no waiting area in the salon, we ask that you call ahead to reserve a time slot for your hair service.  We will continue to observe social distancing rules, therefore a limited number of time slots will be available each day.

Is it safe to visit a salon now?

Following government guidelines, we believe it is safe to visit a salon again from 4th July. We have put in place the necessary safety precautions to help protect you and our teams. Read our ‘Commitment to keeping you safe’ for full details on our salon safety provisions. We also feel there is responsibility at a personal level for maintaining sanitation and hygiene levels to reduce the risk of infection. We advise that you follow expert guidelines; if you believe you have symptoms related to coronavirus please self-isolate for 14 days and seek medical advice before visiting a salon.

Can I still walk in for my usual service?

As there will be no waiting area in salon, we ask that you call ahead to reserve a time slot for your service. You will be able to reserve a time slot for the same day or next following days – subject to availability.

Do I need to bring my own mask and gloves?

You must wear a mask when you step inside our salon. If you don’t have one you’ll be asked to purchase one at the reception. We can provide disposable gloves.

Will I be provided with sanitiser in the salon?

Yes – we will offer you hand sanitiser at the start of your service.

Will I be able to have my normal hair or beauty service?

For the most part, yes. However, there will be some hair and beauty services that will temporarily be unavailable. For time being this includes dry haircuts, Brazilian keratin treatment and all beauty services.

My child (under 12) usually accompanies me to the salon, is that still allowed?

Unfortunately, whilst we adhere to social-distancing protocols in the salon, we ask that you refrain from bringing children or friends along with you to the salon. This is to help minimise the number of people in the salon and to protect each other. We hope you understand the need for this temporary restriction.

I really need to get my hair done but you’re fully booked on the days I call. Can you add me to a cancellation waiting list?

If you’re struggling to find availability on a day that suits you, please call the salon directly to discuss. At the manager’s discretion, the team may be able to call you if a cancellation occurs on that day.

I was diagnosed with Coronavirus, but feel better now – can I call ahead to reserve a time slot?

We strongly advise that you follow expert guidelines; if you believe you have symptoms related to coronavirus or have come into contact with someone suspected of coronavirus, please self-isolate for 14 days and seek medical advice before visiting a salon.

I haven’t been tested, but my symptoms sound like I could have Coronavirus. Do I have to be tested before I book an appointment?

Yes. If you feel you may have Coronavirus, please self-isolate for 14 days and seek medical assistance as outlined in the government guidelines.

What changes will I see in the salon?

We have put in place various safety measures across our salons, from installing safety screens, supplying all team members and guests with the appropriate PPE as well as increased sanitation procedures. A £3.00 safety levy will be charged to your service to help cover the cost. We assure you no profit is being made and that the surcharge contributes to the vital protective equipment you will find in the salon.

How do I safely dispose of the mask you provide me?

When disposing of a mask we recommend removing it only after you leave the salon and place it into a zip lock bag and seal before safely disposing into a dustbin.
